Knead. Press. Shape. Marvel. From 1 year.
There are toys that go on the shelf and stay there. And then there's playdough.
Playdough goes on the table, on the floor, on hands – and does exactly what toddlers need most in their first years: It challenges their hands, activates their imagination, and gives them the sense of accomplishment of shaping something of their own from a ball.
The KNETÄ 8-container set with 8x125g brings 8 vibrant colors in resealable containers – ready for little hands from one year old. Vegan, non-toxic, with exclusively natural ingredients, made in Bavaria by an award-winning German manufacturer.

Material & Safety
What's really inside – ingredient by ingredient
KNETÄ playdough is formulated so that parents can read the ingredient list without hesitation:
Water · Flour (contains wheat) · Table salt · Oil · Vegan food coloring
That's all.
What that specifically means:
-
No synthetic preservatives – preserved by natural salt
-
No mineral oil derivatives – no paraffin, no microplastic
-
Vegan food colorings – the same class of dyes as in food
-
Non-toxic – even if a toddler takes a nibble, nothing serious will happen
-
No chemical laboratory – the recipe is so simple you could make it yourself
⚠️ Important for parents: The playdough contains flour with wheat – it is not gluten-free. Please do not use for children with celiac disease or wheat allergies.

What KNETÄ develops in your child – why playdough is more than just playing
Playdough looks simple. Neurobiologically, it's complex:
|
Developmental area |
How KNETÄ helps |
|
Fine motor skills |
Pressing, rolling, shaping trains small hand muscles and fingers |
|
Hand strength |
Resistance of the playdough strengthens grip – foundation for later writing |
|
Creativity & Imagination |
No predetermined goal = limitless free imagination |
|
Concentration |
Sensory material keeps toddlers focused longer than digital stimuli |
|
Color theory |
Mixing colors = first intuitive experience of color understanding |
|
Self-efficacy |
I shape something – and it looks how I imagined it |
The resealable containers – underestimated feature
The 125g containers are not just a packaging decision – they are a practical statement:
-
Playdough stays fresh – airtight, it won't dry out after the first day of play
-
Each color separate – no unwanted color mixing in the storage container
-
Stackable and tidy – the 8 containers can be stored in a space-saving way
-
Portable – individual containers can be easily taken to kindergarten, grandma's, or on trips
-
Perfect as party favors – one container per child, pre-packed, no additional packaging needed
Matching Gift Ideas
The KNETÄ container set can be nicely combined with other creative gifts. For example, STOCKMAR wax crayons or colored pencils are suitable for creative activities, a lovingly illustrated children's book like "Ari and the Light of Night" or a small bookmark as an extra thoughtful touch. For a bigger occasion, the playdough can also be combined with one of our gift bundles for children .
